Why laser instead of a hot tank or solvent bath?
Hot tanks and chemical dips strip grease by soaking the whole part — along with bearings, plugs, and anything else you didn't want stripped, and they leave you with a drum of contaminated solution to dispose of. The laser takes grease off line-by-line, dry, exactly where it's pointed. Masked areas stay untouched, and the vaporized residue is captured by vacuum as we work.
Aluminum castings come out particularly well: the laser lifts carbon and oil out of the casting texture without the peening or surface change you get from soda or walnut blasting.

Does the part need to come to you?
Either way works. Engine-sized parts are usually dropped at our Riverside shop — most degreasing jobs turn around fast. For machinery that can't move, we bring the mobile unit to you anywhere in the Inland Empire, LA, Orange County, or San Bernardino.
Frequently asked questions
Will laser cleaning harm aluminum engine parts?
No — power and pulse settings are matched to the material. Aluminum reflects the laser once the grease layer is gone, so the casting surface and its tolerances are preserved. No media gets embedded, which matters for anything that will be machined or sealed afterward.
Is laser degreasing better for the environment than solvents?
Yes. There’s no solvent to buy, store, or dispose of, and no contaminated rinse water. Residue is captured at the source by a HEPA vacuum. The process is dry from start to finish.
How long does it take to degrease an engine block?
